A little about me
I help people create freedom to respond to life in value-driven ways by examining and
understanding strategies developed in past circumstances that may limit choices in the
present.
I support people as they navigate the developmental challenges that arise as we move
through different stages of life. Strategies that made sense when we developed them
can become restrictive and do not always allow us to choose actions that are aligned
with our deepest values and desires. I believe we can always learn new skills and
frameworks that allow us to make sense of our continuously unfolding experiences and
existence and make choices that are in alignment with our most authentic self.
My clinical practice has focused on supporting those experiencing life transition
challenges, grief and loss, complex trauma, depression, anxiety, and relationship
struggles. My approach is anchored on building a truly collaborative therapeutic
relationship, utilizing principles from Person-Centered Therapy, Existential Therapy, and
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. That means we will work together to ask the big
questions of what makes life meaningful for you and then utilize concrete tools to make
choices that align with those values.
I am currently a Master’s level student in the Professional Mental Health Counseling
Program at Lewis & Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling. I am under
supervision from my University and Kate Stidd, LPC.
Prior to entering the counseling field, I worked for over a decade in the reproductive
technology field, helping support the wide variety of ways families can be created. I love
food and cooking, quiet time at home, paper crafts, puzzles, lists, gardening, cats, and if
I can swing it, an umbrella drink on a beach!
